Our partners


The firm was established in 1991 by Timothy Scholes. Claire Hastie became a partner
in 2003.



Timothy Scholes is Managing Partner of Stamford Partners Strategy Consultants. He has almost thirty years’ experience in strategy consulting, initially as a consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, and subsequently as a partner of LEK Consulting and Stamford Partners Strategy Consultants.

Tim has worked in a broad cross-section of industries throughout his consulting career and has an intimate knowledge of the food and drink sectors. His experience spans Europe, North America, where he worked for many years, and beyond.

Tim is a mathematics graduate of the University of Oxford. He earned his MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was awarded a Baker Scholarship.





Claire Hastie joined the firm in 1995 and has managed projects in a range of sectors. She has a particular depth of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, and also played a key role in the growth of the firm’s industrial products practice. She has applied her fact-based approach to strategy development to projects in over 30 countries.

In addition to her role on client assignments, Claire is responsible for managing the firm’s professional development programme and instilling the Stamford Partners Strategy Consultants approach to strategy analysis.

Claire graduated from the University of Aston with a BSc in International Business with Modern Languages. She speaks French fluently, having lived and worked in France.
